In regards to Page Management Tables what is the difference between a Global Page Table and a Local Page Table?

And online search didn't return meaningful results and my prof. for some reason skipped the thing altogether. Would appreciate a bit of help. Thanks!

The GPT defines global pages, whereas the LPT defines local pages.

The difference is that Global Page Table uses the word Global, while Local Page Table uses the word Local.
