i work with another developer on a project. the problem is her code sucks horribly. whenever i have something to take care of, i find myself rewriting a ton of her stuff, which pisses her off. everytime i change her code, she gets all bitchy.

how do i be polite about this? how can i change her horrible code into something that isnt shit and not piss her off?

everytime you change her code do a cunnilingus to her.

PS: Do u mind if you post some of her code and then your "fixed" version?

ill have to edit some bits to keep it anonymous, but maybe tomorrow when i get to work.

rather, ill post it and have /prog/ fix it.  like an exercise.

develop an API for most of the stuff she commonly does wrong.

We need her post and her picture to evaluate if she is supposed to work with you anymore.

I post with another /prog/rider on a board. The problem is his grammar sucks horribly. Whenever I have something to read, I find myself rewriting a ton of his stuff, which pisses him off. Everytime I change his sentence structure, he gets all bitchy.

How can I be polite about this? How can I change his horrible grammar into something that isn't shit, without pissing him off?

Explain the exact reason(s) why you changed her code each time you change it.

Name: Anonymous 2010-11-24 17:56

You have two options.

1. Force her code to go through a review process, where every time she does something stupid her code is thrown back at her face until she stops being an idiot.

2. Stop working with her altogether.
