I have a CQ61z-300 Compaq Presario Notebook PC and I cant get my wireless adapter to work in Slackware 13.1. I don't know a lot about Linux. I try to turn it on by pressing the button but that doesn't turn it on, and I can't find a menu or anything for wireless. It works just fine in Linux Mint.

Advice?

Install wicd from the /extra directory on the DVD.
