Internet redesign

I've been thinking about redesiging the internet.

So far I have a mental picture of: -

1. HTTP removed and replaced with something stateful.
2. Sat a top of a distributed scalable platform.
3. TCP can stay.

I want to replace HTTP & DNS & HTML & ALL ASSOCIATED WWW TECHNOLGY so maybe my wording was somewhat broad but a subset nevertheless.
