Important paradox demands your attention

I was reading Xarn's blog and I was considering this paradox: Suppose you are to fight Xarn. No weapons, just a one-on-one fight on the ring. Do you think you would win?

There are, however, umpteen other threads that begin along the same lines as this one; i.e. variations on the phrase "Consider this paradox:" followed by phrases describing something that clearly isn't a paradox.
This is still misuse of language; note also the plebian overuse (and misuse) of the word 'paradox' in order to try and make oneself sound intelligent (or just for the enjoyment of using the word).
