Apparently the latest update for the Half-Life 2 editor Hammer is crashing the editor, and has been doing so for at least a month.

The last I heard of Valve was that they released Alien Swarm completely free of charge to people. They've also been completely dedicated to mod support.
...but judging by the article and comments from people claiming that the world is ending, suddenly when you open any map in the editor, there's just giant horsecocks floating around in your levels.
...so what's going on, guys? How come Valve is so suddenly into horsecocks? Have Valve been unable to released a fix for the bugs because there's an evacuation from a zombie infestation going on? Is it true that they set all the computers and themselves on fire while chanting to Satan?
I mean it can't just be that they're busy fixing a problem that's complicated and therefore taking awhile, because that's not what this article and these comments are saying.
