What are your thoughts on programming while buzzed, or maybe high on an illegal drug. Psychadelics and Cannabis are supposed to make your thoughts flow more freely which in theory would be an advantage while programming.

Stimulants like Adderall or Ritalin give you a lot of ideas when you get tweeked. I don't know about harder stims like Cocaine because I usually only do coke when I'm with friends.
When I'm on weed I will usually program about 10 lines before forgetting simple stuff.
Basically, try stimulants if you want to program. Don't try psychedelics. Definitely don't try deliriants.
I Higly Recomend pot for programming, but the right kind, i believe saptiva is better for programming, also coke is great for focus, not so much for multitasking. what do you have to be on to understand the tools needed for FOSS development
With some drugs, you can't concentrate. With other drugs, you can't think laterally. There are plenty of others that do nothing for programming ability. Too much of stimulants and you'll feel like running a marathon rather than sitting to work. All in all, I tend to program sober.
I program best when I'm about to go to bed.
My mind feels like its flowing or something.

Try taking a relaxing drug such as Weed or any other euphoric drug. Then try doing a line of coke. The coke gives you the energy that is normally lost when you do weed, but the cannabis doesn't tense you up normally like a straight line of coke would.
It's like getting splashed in the face with ice cold water when you are really tired. It instantly springs you back to life.
