Why KDE is a failure

To download one 2mb app i need to download the entire KDEoffcie suite OR build it from source(if i install cygwin).
Forums don't work, the entire site is ill designed, and their KDE downloader often get stuck on some FTP mirror which need to be manually disconnected.
The list of packages is 60% games 30% useless apps which have better windows equivalents and 10% really useful apps liek Krita.
