There aren't even that many people here. Unless you mena dual-booting.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 21:57

You forgot Plan 9 and Hurd

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 22:01

When did we get windows users? Disgusting.

Taro's  BSD is underrepresented

Anonix too

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 22:06

You can run the Anonix toolkit on BSD, LINUX, Solaris, or almost any kernel you like. It's so flexible!

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 22:08

>>6
Isn't Anonix just a poorly conceived Linux/BSD/whatever distribution/derivative? I don't give a shit but am not sure which of ('yes', 'no') would be a sadder answer.

I use MacOS and Windows, which proves your statistics wrong.

Imagine a third of GNU coreutils reimplemented by imageboard ``hackers''.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 22:17

>>8, >>10 is right.

It's just a copy of ls with a rambly faux license

It's a shame it no longer exists, for humour purposes

UMH Memesmith uses a Mac.

3/10. Two strikes against you:
1. That guy's not UMH memesmith.
2. Didn't he kill himself anyway? Only the living count as /prog/lodytes.

Other than that, nice try. I almost raged a little.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 22:26

Okay. That is on par with what I was imagining.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 23:15

What? Who said who was UHM Memesmith?

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 23:32

1. ls is in the two thirds of GNU coreutils that Anonix doesn't have.
2. The code (http://rechan.eu.org/misc/) and boards (http://rechan.eu.org/ac/, http://rechan.eu.org/ax/) still exist. Go forth and troll GNU if you feel like it.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 23:35

That's just pathetic.

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 23:37

1. Seriously? Lol. They's lazy.
2. That's a little sad. I was happier when I thought it was given up on, because I pitied them less.

Addendum; I dislike that they use the /prog/ snake in their kitschy faux-letterhead

Name: Anonymous 2010-07-28 23:51

1. Seriously? Lol. They's lazy.
Their excuse was that they couldn't figure out how to do implement this part of POSIX:
The ls utility shall detect infinite loops; that is, entering a previously visited directory that is an ancestor of the last file encountered. When it detects an infinite loop, ls shall write a diagnostic message to standard error and shall either recover its position in the hierarchy or terminate.

Oh come on.

Xarn also uses FreeBSD.

I would've cheated and read the GNU version. Why didn't they do that?
They have an example of at least one way to solve a problem, but they're not even clever enough to look at the method and reimplement it?

>>23
Perhaps dead to you, sir. But I've realized that there are months of terrible backposts to be had
