Back in circa 1989 I was working as the "educational coordinator" (i.e., salesman) of a Commodore Amiga dealer here in Seattle WA USA. We had our Amiga booth at the annual University of Washjington Computer Faire. Across the aisle and around the corner from us was the NeXT booth, whose CEO Steve Jobs was giving the keynote address which I could not attend because of booth duty. I tried to show off to an East Indian customer by saying (mutatis mutandis), "Swami! Swami Punjabpuri! I would recognize you [who's that standing next to him across the table from me?!!} any...where.... [I was staring into the face of Steve Jobs, whose lips curled up into a fake-out smile at me, and Jobs pivoted and disappeared down the aisle.]
