What are your thoughts about F#?

Lately there's been a lot of buzz about functional programming in the financial sector, which I aim to get my foot in the door. So I've thought about doing some quantitative analysis in F#. Why not Ocaml? Well, if my wishes get truncated I can claim I know the .NET platform to some extent and program ASP .NET apps using best practices.

Opinions and resources about F# and/or quantitative analysis.
