O jesus fuck. Never fucking ever go even near this piece of shit.

The language is shit.
The tools are shit.
The documentation is shit.
MSDN has a new design (again) and surprise, it's fucking shit.

I should fucking punch the guy who decided on the language for this project in his fucking face. It's like Microsoft have teams of skilled designers dedicated to the task of taking every idea and making the worst fucking possible implementation of it.

You can thank Stroustrup for that. He's currently located at Texas A&M University on the 5th floor of Bright building. Careful though, you'll have to bribe his secretary.

He can also sometimes be found walking from Zachary building eating yogurt.

Actually, MSDN (dunno about the new version) is the only thing that I liked in C++. I wish Haskell had such a comprehensive documentation, with examples and shit.

You mena Herb Sutter. AFAIK Stroustrup wasn't involved, and he isn't too impressed by the results (http://www2.research.att.com/~bs/bs_faq.html#CppCLI).

The navigation is shit, and it's difficult to find the relevant information.

Yeah MSDN is a two sided sword, its really bloated but on the other side the documentation is good.

But its so bloated that you will not find what you are looking for most of the time.

Stroustrup was the inventor behind C++ and is also in charge of the C++ standards committee.

he doesn't seem to get the point that the whole purpose of C++/CLI is to port existing sepples code. you're not supposed to use it for new code.

Name: Anonymous 2010-06-19 0:48

Just wait until there's a Sepplesox/CLI then.
