Xarn actually knows how to do it. He once wrote a program to convert regular text into fullwidth.

Where did this perception that Xarn can't code come from? Looking at the code he posts here and on his blog, he seems to be the most competent programmer on /prog/.

Name: Anonymous 2010-06-03 16:18

ehm... seems to be stackoverflow

You're looking too much into this. In fact, you are probably Xarn.

I just thought the image of Zarn posting on stackoverflow was amusing.

How do I link to the wchar header when compiling?

It would be much easier to chart the relative skills of /prog/riders if we had some basis for judgement. Right now, all we can do is judge individual entries whenever a contest pops up, and even then we can't draw any conclusions as all we have is single points. Unless we setup something like http://www.planetplanet.org/ and convinced a bunch of us to start blogs and lets face it, that is not going to happen, or required the use of tripcodes when submitting to contest threads

There is a high concentration of silly ideas in your post.

Just asking because I've seen this sentiment expressed before. I know he knows PHP1 and Java2, but he doesn't seem to like (or use) them much.

We know #sicp and the Sussman can code, and #/prog/ and Leah can't. All of those and the handful of imageboard retards should account for all of /prog/. It's just a matter of counting heads.

I am none of those I did hang out on #/prog/ for a small while way back, but then I came to the conclusion that there must have been a different /prog/ irc and that IHBT

I just realized that I can't code ;_;

There are 11 /prog/gressives in total.

I count 9 in #sicp, 11 in #/prog/, plus the Sussman and Leah makes twenty-two.
There's also ten people in #bbcode, but all of those seem to be people from the other two channels.

how do you spend your day if you are not on IRC? (I'd like to quit but I don't know what I'd do with myself)

He's one of the third category mentioned in >>14.

While it is likely that >>20 does fall into that category. I'm dismayed that there isn't a category for people who use neither irc nor the imageboards and who can code.

You are now easily identifiable because you just found the fullwidth Unicode block.
