Personally, WTF it runs on top of Java, welcome to slow as balls. I mean, seriously. I guess it means you don't have to worry about portability because Sun is handling it.

I'm sure they'd give some fascinating insights into the twisted thought processes of the creator of the Java language. I realize that Java is a design-by-committee language, but I think the committee has formed an intelligent being that does not think and reason like we do, and it is trying to create a language suitable for itself.
