Best Python IDE?

Name: Anonymous 2010-05-27 10:46

Im new to Python. I have been coding in C++ a couple of years.
Whats the best Python IDE? I have tried IDLE and Eclipse + Pydev.
What I really want is something like VS. What I need the most is member function listing when "."
I would also like to see the parameters of the functions i'm calling. IDLE does this sometimes but not with custom classes etc.

Excuse me if I wrote some confusing sentences or used bad english. I'm from sweden.

MS Paint.

Emacs is the best IDE, but then again I dislike intellisense. Bpython is shitty, but IIRC it gives you what you want for custom classes.

I know what the OP posted, I meant to point out that I didn't know you could do that.  I looked into it and posted the link for those interested.  Admittedly, I wasn't very clear.  (Also, it doesn't look like a very good implementation, but I think i'll give it a shot anyway).

I've been using WingIDE for a few months.  It's very fast and polished. Not as kludgy/unintuitive as eclipse was.  Great debugger and feature set.
