1st episode synopsis: Beat is a first year computer science student. This day, he is late to school. His childhood friend, Arisa, whom he lives with (he is an orphan), wakes him up violently. "It's not like I care if you fail to become a computer scientist!" she says, and does not wait for him to go to Emuito High.
Once Beat realizes just how late he is, he rushes out of his house with a toast in his mouth, but he immediately bumps into a girl. She falls to the ground and he sees her panties and computer science notes. Beat apologizes and helps her to pick up her notes. She apologizes and immediately starts running away.
Beat starts running too, and finds Arisa waiting in the next street. "I was not waiting for you, you know. I was just tired from running. That's all."
A Cadillac stops in front of Emuito High. The chauffeur opens the door, and help Juri-ojousama and her maid to descend from the car. As she sees Beat and Arisa arriving late and out of breath, she covers her face with her hand, then lets out a vociferous yet dignified laugh at them.
But while she is still laughing, an helicopter approaches the school then stays stationary near Juri, blowing up the skirts of the girls in the vicinity. The door of the helicopter opens, and Rea gets out of it with the help of a dozen of butlers. Rea starts mocking Juri's school. Arisa explains that both are the heiresses of rival schools - Juri of Emuito High, and Rea of Gido Gakuen. She tells Beat to ignore them, they are already late enough.
Arisa and Beat enter the class. They bow. "Sorry, we're late!"
Kuda-sensei, the computer science teacher with a terrible secret, lets them in.
"Y-y-y-y-you!!!" exclaims Beat, as he sees the girl he bumped into earlier (seeing her panties again in a flashback).
"Ano... I am Eva Ruatoru. Etou... I am looking forward to learning computer science with you. Please take good care of me!" says the girl.
"Beat-kun, is the seat next to you empty? Eva, you can sit there." says Kuda-sensei. She resumes the lesson : "Now, let's pick up from last time and look at this box-and-pointer representation of...."
At lunch, Beat and Arisa go on the rooftop.
"You idiot! How could you have forgotten to bring our bento! I hate you!" says Arisa.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" replies Beat.
Arisa has an idea: "Let's use computer science!"
"No way! That's too dangerous! We could..."
Arisa does not listen to him. She opens her laptop.

Suddenly, her computer explodes, and from it emerges a huge black snake, ready to attack her.
As the snake lunges forward, it is cut by a previously unseen samurai, Gery.
"So cool" thinks Beat.
