iPod lyrics stored "in" ID3?

Hello, as you all may know the iPod classic has a feature which allows one to look at the lyrics of one's songs while it is playing. The way you're currently adding lyrics is quite tedious and I have therefore decided to script a sort of "lyrics searcher" and as I want this script to be able to add the lyrics on their own I must ask you:

Where the fuck does the iPod store it's lyrics?
