It's well slow.
Hasn't anyone made any faster file transfer protocols?
It took years to send a 5.9Kb file even over USB.

Protip: even if you reach the ideal 1 Gb/sec in raw network speed, that does not mean you'll be getting anywhere near that in actual throughput.
