Why the hatred for PHP?

I never understood this. I have never even seen it until I started using image boards, and people were claiming wakaba was superior then everything else because it was written in perl.

What is so bad about PHP? I've always viewed PHP as a simplistic language that is easy to learn. Apparently there is something extremely wrong with it though, that if you use you are considered an "amateur" programmer.

How do you intend to run your code without a Javascript interpreter? Do you expect CPython to be able to run it?
