It's here! Discuss it!

Also why the hell does it now need libmpc?

Is it better than 4.3 for ARM yet?

They're dropping support for older platforms, which is pretty integral to improving the quality of code generation. Other than that and increased SEPPLESOX support, I'm not terribly interested.

Give it a few months for serious bugs to get patched. Like, until 4.5.99.

It's more of the same old shit. It works as well as it always has been and I will continue to depend on it until the Clang project gets up to speed.

why not use clang?  are you a sepples programmer?

I compile all sorts of free software. Many of them use C++.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-25 11:18

Code generation quality and compilation performance are still anus-like. (I didn't actually test it, but I know)

So what precludes you from using clang? Do you simply not write code?

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-25 14:27

Clang does not support the platforms I do.

That's a lot different than your last excuse. Just sayin'.

GCC works now for everything I do. Clang is hit or miss for most of the software I compile so I may as well leave it alone and try it again in a couple of years.

Don't change these.
