It probably is bullshit, but the true strength of Oracle is that using it usually means having people who are actually trained as proper DBAs instead of some guy who learned PHP in his web design course.

Postgres is pretty damn good for the same reason: that PHP guy is going to pick MySQL. Only someone who knows what he's doing will pick Postgres (not knowing what you're doing with Postgres will earn you a full disk and a DB that performs like utter shit.)
