From: http://www.paulgraham.com/quotes.html "I have heard more than one LISP advocate state such subjective comments as, "LISP is the most powerful and elegant programming language in the world" and expect such comments to be taken as objective truth. I have never heard a Java, C++, C, Perl, or Python advocate make the same claim about their own language of choice."

Java, C++, C, Perl, et al, let alone Lisp, the best programming language in the world? Surely, you jest.
We, amateurs, programmers, or wizards, are in the entirely wrong field if we intend to play with the greatest programming language in the world. We would have been bioengineers.

What's to say that DNA is the best? It just happens that it was the one that succeeded. I wonder how much work actually engineering things from scratch using DNA is? I bet it's a lot more work than CMOS-based logic. DNA is quite suited for natural evolution, which is why it managed to create such complex and wonderful organisms. I'm betting reverse engineering evolved logic is a lot harder than humanly engineered logic, as such logic is usually an approximation of a behaviour you want, but rarely the exact behaviour. It's probably easier to observe it as a black box than to understand it as a grey/white-box.
We as a human race have a lot to learn. I hope to see new platforms in the future which combine the advantages of DNA with the advantages of CMOS-based logic.

/prog/ needs the BumpBomber, the SageTank, and the AgeJeep. It needs a strong defense, or else world4ch will be taken over by the tyrannical forces of the imageboard nations.
