Well, Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 were really good on the Wii. I've actually seen girls play Mario Kart Wii and enjoying it (girls don't play games here). Nintendo made games are usually good but they can't be held responsible for 3rd party shovelware where all you do is waggle.

I'm curious about the new Zelda, they said it'll require WiiMotion+ so maybe it'll have realistic sword combat. Probably not though...

I wasn't very good at Super MR GAY, but MP3 was pretty good. It's a bit of an exception, though. It's not really a shooter, and honestly I had better luck with using a stylus for MPH (it's overall worse, though, because the dpad and form factor are uncomfortable for shooters.)

I'm not saying the waggle is all bad, but there's obviously something missing. I'm happy to concede that a big part of that something is in the amount of dedication the developers put into handling the input, but that still leaves a lot of the spectrum completely unaddressed.

MPH had that huge reticle which helped but overall MP3 had much better aiming due to the fact that you could lock-on an enemy and still aim freely.

Overall I still prefered the control scheme of Metroid Prime 1 & 2 (because I didn't have to aim at the screen so I could sit more comfortably). The point is motion control works, but only few developers actually make something worthwhile.

Also SMG was awesome, ur a fag.

About MPH, I mean the stylus control was better than waggle. Due to the greater angle, precision is finer.

The point is motion control works,
The point is that it doesn't ever seem to work as well as something else would. When it comes down to it you're still voting for MP1&2.

Also SMG was awesome, ur a fag.
What was that horrible thing I said about SMG now? Look, if you want to argue in this manner please start a thread in /v/.

I liked MP1&2 controls more because I have a TV in my room and I sit in my computer chair with my legs on the bed. Can't do that with the Wiimote and aim.

But really, you honestly think you could control a game more precisely with Natal than you do MP3 or some other high quality Wii game? Also I didn't find MPH more accurate at all (the game was a lot worse but that's besides the point).

Super Metroid is still king.

Natal right now? Who knows--I haven't tried it. Have you? The tech that Natal is building, on the other hand, should subsume anything you'd do with a wand. It fine enough gestures can be read (in real time) then I see no room for incredulity.

Touchscreen control responds more accurately to movements in the hand. A lot of this is afforded by the fact that close up, lateral hand movements are actually on par with rotations. It doesn't work that way when you're 8 feet away, you have to rotate to generate any significant amount of change, and that is inverse square, nowhere near 1:1.
