So what’s next? I’m working on a new project to reimagine what an image board should be today using the current technologies available.
Can you tell me more about it? Not really, sorry. But our code is a decade old, the foundation is really rickety and the layout is old, so imagine if you were to start 4chan today, what would it look like, how would it work with a modern browser. It’s kind of like a re-boot, but it will be something separate to 4chan.
Well at least every time he gets interviewed he at least gives credit that 4chan is based off of Futaba Channel (even though it's incorrectly stated as ``2chan'').

I almost had an heart attack. Than i realized /. just sensationalized his interview and 4chan will stay as it was.

2chan is Futaba, you numbskull. Although not typically referred to as that, I think in that particular case calling it "Futaba Channel" would only end up making it more confusing for the idiots that read NY Times.
I wish 4chan were more like Futaba. They still don't even know who the site's admin is. No stupid media interviews and shit like that, and they sure as fuck don't have a "press page"¹ either. That shit's just ridiculous. That behavior seems to be typical of SA users, who just treat everything like some kind of dick-sucking popularity contest and make decisions based on that, rather than doing what's actually beneficial to the userbase they've created.
Unless you want to argue further that the name "4chan" refers to http://www.4-ch.net/, and the website you're looking at right now is called "Yotsuba Channel" and nothing else -- in which case I will agree with you, because it's utterly pointless to carry on an argument with the mentally disadvantaged.

Apples and oranges.
4chan has meant 4chan.org, but 2ch, 2chan and 2channel have always referred to 2ch.net. Heck, on Futaba (let alone 2ch.org) itself they call 2ch.org "2chan" and they probably know best.
>>21 4chan has meant 4chan.org
It used to be 4chan.net at first. 2ch, 2chan and 2channel have always referred to 2ch.net
2ch, yes, and 2channel, ``2chan'' is often referred to incorrectly as Futaba Channel. (let alone 2ch.org) itself they call 2ch.org "2chan" and they probably know best.
There is no 2ch.org IHBT
