What's a ?  It's one of those non-character tiles to me.

Are you using Apple Macintosh System 7 or something? It's a new invention called Unicode.

Dude I tried downloading that the other day but it's in a format only openable by older mac systems. It's the same scenario with the older systems too. I need some kind of bootstrap PowerPC VM.

I'm guessing I should now put it all in octal... But too lazy to do that.

Firefox.  This page loads with encoding UTF-8 as default and using UTF-16 and UTF-32 turns the page into either a nonsense of kanji or a nonsense of non-character tiles.

(When I switch to EUC-JP part of a kanji appears but there's still a non-character tile next to it.  When I switch to Shift-JIS, I get the same effect but with katakana.)
