Imageboard

Name: Frank 2010-02-10 17:19

Hello fellow programmers!
I must say, I really enjoy this board and I'm sure many of you also share this interest, otherwise you wouldn't be here! Haha! Anyways, I was recently thinking (a dangerous practice) and I thought that if we some how managed to create more of a vibrant community, much like that of /sci/, we too could have an imageboard like they have. To make a long story short, this thread is for the discussion of techniques to acquire more daily users of this text board so that we expand into an imageboard.

expand into an imageboard.

more like degenerate.

this is not what /prog/ wants.

You speak of degeneration, but your rebuttal is calling me a faggot and speaking for people you do not know the opinions of!

oh the irony

Nonsense! I have seen many great discussions take place on the imageboards, regardless of those who decide to use it as a forum for their misguided anger. Besides, it is the users who make the board what it is. To think that the spirit of /prog/ would change just because of the venue it is presented in is nonsense.

I must apologize /prog/, I mistook you for a community of people who wished to expand outside the limits of text, but it is apparent my efforts were wasted upon those who would rather start "Haxus The Great" threads than discuss meaningful topics.

Excellent idea! By becoming an imageboard, we'll become more closely associated with the /b/ culture and an turn attract more idiots screaming "EPIC WIN IS EPIC" and "LULZ BUTTHURT SUSSMANFAGS". I'm in.
