Aspergers in the work place

Name: Anonymous 2010-01-27 0:02

Sup /prog/riders

Just wanted to take a quick poll if anyone here suffers from aspergers, and how that effects your social interactions at work, or otherwise. For me, I dread job interviews because even though I would consider myself a good programmer, I feel like I won't be able to express myself properly, or I'll mumble something inaudible, and I'll have to repeat myself :(

Thanks,

No, but I'm very introverted and I feel like I can relate.

Let me tell you how it goes with Assbergers, >>1:
You do have trouble expressing yourself properly, and you do mumble things inaudibly, and have to repeat yourself, and life goes on anyway. Get used to the idea.

Truth. Don't let the man keep you down. Mumble loudly and proudly! If you have to repeat yourself keep in mind that most people do not mind it.
Big exception being grannies who blame the society for not teaching the kids to talk properly. "Back in the days I would have gotten my mouth spanked for mumbling!"

Work for a few years, invest as much as you can, retire early and never have to have social interactions again! I worked for me, you can do it too!

It's interesting how /prog/ actually encourages aspergers; the [ m ] tag as I understand it stands for mumble. Watch:

I am mumbling something

i manipulate programs for the manipulation and screening of DNA so that future DNA therapy and manipulation will induce aspergers and kanner syndrome into normal people.
