PuTTY tray on Windows XP, I SSH into a machine that runs NetBSD, GNU screen + irssi and naim (for IRC and AIM respectfully) and whatever the hell else I feel like doing on it.

How can people live with the concept of a command line separate from an editor? The first time I launched M-x shell, I thought I knew something like this must exist. I can't believe someone willingly uses a terminal emulator in this time and age.
