Just needed to know what /prog/s recommendation is for a C compiler for windows. I tried using MinGW and it keeps failing to install.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Everything is fine from what the official website says...
Why, what do you assume is wrong?
Everything produced by the GNU project is bloated, slow and generally horrible.
Anyway, your first language should be interpreted.

Intel has a C compiler out there that is used by some people...if not you could just use visual studio's compiler and write in C

It should compile itself. If you're unable to do so and random off-the-shelf compilers don't work, try making an interpreter to bootstrap it.

How do I get my hands on this? Do they have a free version? It seems absurd to pay money for a compiler in 2010...

It should compile itself
JUST TAKE A BUNCH OF PLAIN TEXT FILES THAT CONTAIN SOURCE CODE AND TELL THEM TO COMPILE THEMSELVES!!!!!!!

Don't forget that if you have AMD CPU, you're better of with GCC than with Intel C Compiler - or at least it was like that when I last checked.

Why would you install anything? Just download the ZIP file and extract it anywhere.
Installs are the cancer killing Windows.
