I think you're thinking in the wrong framework, where
not ignoring him is unconditionally bad. No, it's not. It's like if I spat in a beggar's cup and you were, like, "ah, you
noticed him, you put yourself on his level", while in reality the reverse would be true: trying hard to pretend the little shit doesn't exist instead of taking a small but pure pleasure in offending him, is wrong.
This means that you really do notice him and try hard to curb your natural responses and act unnatural as a result.
Right now I (don't) see two missing posts directly above and feel pleasure thinking that he knows it and it probably bothers him, and then he would reply and I won't see that as well.
