Someone posts a question about 'what is he best programming language to do X' where 'to do X' is often missing.

Someone invariably mentions Lisp, even if not in the first post.

Why the fuck do Lispniks respond with a rebuttal? Samefag trolls will make new threads anyway.

You could be bored. You could be deluded into thinking that someone will learn Lisp by hearing about it on /prog/. You could be deluded into thinking that someone will not learn Lisp because he heard on /prog/ that it sucks.

But most probably it's a single Lispnik troll arguing both sides.

<peculiar> Did anyone ever write captcha software that detects not only non-humans, but also fucktards and trolls? Even fucktards that are very persistent and know how to use google?
<ScriptBaatezu> Hmmm. Domain specific captchas :P

DISCUSS.

If that was me, I must have made that post several months ago. C is pretty shit, I am sorry you don't see it, but it is the best low-level language going. I think everyone should know lisp and C. Some day maybe someone will make a better C. Sepples and D are not such a result.

C is not pretentious. It's a fairly simple language, even if the syntax is horrible. It couldn't keep any promises, but it never made them (unlike sepples/java, for example) so there's no reason to beat on it.
