I'm a nerd and I want a fabulous GUI?

Name: Anonymous 2009-10-08 23:06

If you were a true nerd you would do everything through a fabulous CLI.

Name: Anonymous 2009-10-08 23:09

I have reached "SATORI" and I can tell you the true interface is a PCI.

The only true fabulous CLI is the one inside a fabulous GUI.

Name: Anonymous 2009-10-08 23:17

You can boot straight to DOS on some machines.

Name: Anonymous 2009-10-08 23:37

Allow me, gentlemen, to revise my statement: The only portable fabulous CLI is the one inside a fabulous GUI.

That said, the DOS prompt is not fabulous. It is weak. If I were to use a CLI as my entire interface on a modern flatscreen computer, I would demand nothing less than an emulator that replicated the scanline VT100 font and the warped screen of an ancient CRT. Still more preferable would be a 3D squid as the background, as some people have suggested in other threads.
