Interesting GNU/Linux scripts/programs

What interesting/fun GNU/Linux scripts/programs do you have, /prog/?  So far I've only got a system info script, a thread fetcher and something that uploads files and outputs the link they are hosted at.

What about you?

I'm surprised they called it Hurd.
I was expecting it to be named RMS/GNU/Hurd

Hurd is already a part of the GNU OS. By mentioning GNU, you'd also be implicitly including the Hurd program.
