the majority of users think X is 'acquired taste' and anyone who is against them is having inferior taste in X.
Obviously when you get expert at X you will look at all the less capable Y's as inferior, but you ignore the time you learned to become proficient at X is absent in Y's. The Linux/Lisp/GIMP camp would say its automatically better because its free and open-source, but these qualities are nothing for most people. Warez and reverse-engineering/hacks/cracks/serials practically eliminate all the advantages of such software.
