Anyone ever wonder why C++ isn't called ++C?

Because its a marketing gimmick, the real name was C with Classes.
Marketing drones obviously don't know preincrement vs postincrement distinction.

Because they don't need to know that. Do you know anything about marketing? Does your negative answer make you a programming drone? I guess your initial reaction to this might've been that Programming is a higher skill than Marketing, which leads to a contradiction.

C with Classes was a preliminary version. It was so different from C++ it may as well be considered an entirely different language.
