Ø Removal of “Install Other OS” feature
The new PS3 system will focus on delivering games and other entertainment content, and users will not be able to install other Operating Systems to the new PS3 system.

Haha, I bet this will give the moralfag `crackers' an excuse to hack the new PS3.

Yeah, because being able to use hardware you own for whatever you want is totally inexcusable. /sarc

That sucks. The only reasons I wanted a PS3 was 1) to try out its kick-ass processor with Linux, and 2) to have a Blu-ray player. When I heard about the price drop and slim version, I thought "YES! This will be awesome." Then Sony shat on my dreams by removing the Other OS feature. I'll just buy a $199 Blu-ray player instead of a $299 POS console with no games I want.

I didn't express discontent with what they could want to do now. I believe crackers should break any protection in any form whatsoever for getting absolute freedom over their box. The Other OS feature had some restrictions too. They accepted a compromise and now they're on the way to the losing side, unless they manage to crack it and regain their freedom again, if they would have discarded their moralfaggotry initially, instead of being tricked by Sony's facade, they wouldn't be in this mess now.

I don't understand why people won't just realize that Sony hates you. They do. They always have. They even fucking admit it.

But, like responding to invisible posts, people keep going back to them for more.

The Cell is really nice, though. I was thinking of buying a bunch of PS3s and having my university pay for them to see how far I can push them, but it looks like I'll be finding them elsewhere now.

The fat one is still available for 2 weeks. If you really want one, now's your chance.

(lonely) "It has the same features and functionality [as the old PS3], but now it is 32% smaller, 36% lighter and consumes 34% less power," he said.
(Bui) Let me know when it consumes 50% less wallet contents.

Don't change these.
