OP, i'm not working on imageboard scripts right now,i have no interest in them.
I prefer textboards now,they might seem dull and full of lifeless losers but
1.they keep the posts forever,nothing expires until it gets to 1000 posts.Everything archived back to 2005.
2.you can link anything in your post.(any images/sites/etc so imageboards aren't required)
3.Its more forum-like, and have less mods then any imageboard.

I'll explain what you need to do to create a better script.
1.AJAX send(POST) with variables for fields->to imageboard.php
2.One of them is avatar image:
A comment added to image with any program, the image is split into 3 parts
[header][comment][rest] <--of these [header] and [rest] are stored in program
your script has to copy [header]
append random(same length) [-comment-] and then append [rest]
This generated image is then sent to server with your POST form.
