Hi /prog/ I use to do programming in high school, but I didn't do so well, but now I feel like I would like to try again, what compilers and resources would you suggest for me to use? We used borland C++ in high school, but I completely forgot how to compile with it. thanks in advanced.

You should start by getting a decent computer programming education. http://mitpress.mit.edu/sicp/full-text/book/book.html

Pretty much all you need:
http://java.sun.com
http://eclipse.org

Remember you can always skip over things you find boring, I remember one of the first programming books I read spent like an entire chapter on printf and scanf format strings which was boring and mostly pointless.

Apparently, you didn't have English in high school.

Back to English 101, please.
