Every industry has one. The free-thinking rebel that redefines the rules. He says what no-one else will say and does what no-one else will do. Fuelled by raw passion, he seizes an art form by the throat and drags it to its apex. What they invented, he makes it sing. His peers hate him but the public love his style. At once he intimidates and inspires; breaking down the walls that secure some yet block others. Welcome to MDickie.com - home of the games industry's first true 3-dimensional character! Whether he's the "hero" or the "villain" depends entirely on your perspective...

You are making two assumptions there. First, you are assuming that they are still in the closet, which may or may not be the case. And secondly, you are assuming that they are not bisexual, which would seem likely since they like girls with dicks.

I don't think Mat Dickie knows what innovation means.

Innovation is when one single-handedly develops and publishes their own software as a solo developer - presiding over every inch of every project, from the design and programming through to the graphics and music.

I think he mistakes innovation for uniqueness, which isn't necessarily a good thing nor is it something he actually possesses.
Oh, and did I mention that Japan is filled with doujin game developers. Indie game development isn't anything that special, but it's probably best done as a collaboration between a few persons: it's hard for a jack-of-all-trades to do everything perfect, you may make a better game by getting some outside talent.

It's always amusing to see someone who has led such a sheltered life that they were unaware of the Asshole of the Internet. Moreover, it shouldn't have taken him more than 10 seconds to realise that we are trolls, especially given how open we are about it.

Guys we need to prepare a rebuttal to M. Dickie.
I say we demand some better comments about his thoughts on SICP this time!

In fact, someone of his age and interest would be very rare to not have heard of 4chan. After several appearances on Faux News and various other media, anyone Internet-literate should've heard of us. Even my mom knows.

He did answer the question. He said he doesn't know wtf you're talking about because he's not an EXPERT PROGRAMMER (and never claimed to be). There is no more complete answer he could possibly give.

I don't think it was one of us who wrote that review about his book. I believe he grossly underestimates how far-reaching the absurdity of his persona is.
