What OS are you running?

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 3:49

XP here.

You're clueless.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 11:14

>>38
Why would I do that, when it's already done for me in a way that satisfies me? Were I disappointed with Ubanto, I'd have installed something else, but I see no reason to do so right now.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 11:15

wait, most linux users compile their own kernel?
i thought that was more of a BSD user thing

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 11:19

XP Pro

No, the elitism is creeping.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 11:23

>>45
doh ho ho,
linux users are the ones who go around masturbating about how linux is so amazing and talking about how windows users are all idiots.

Name: =+=*=F=R=O=Z=E=N==V=O=I=D=*=+= !frozEn/KIg 2009-07-30 11:29

>>43 Several reasons:
1.They got new hardware which has to be compiled into kernel.
2.They got a shiny new kernel and they want to run it.
3.They have a buggy kernel build which should be replaced.
4.They applied some patch(making that kernel more fast or fixing lunix bugs) and have to test it.

linux is so amazing
It's not amazing. Unlike Windows, it ``just works''.
windows users are all idiots
Not precisely; some people are forced to use Windows, and I don't mind; most people are ignorant to how computers really work, and I don't mind either, they don't need more. Programmers, mathematicians, physicists, etc. that use Windows out of their free will are idiots.

Nobody put a gun to your head and told you to use anti-free software. You're just weak-willed, a spineless cowards. As far as I'm concerned, that's the same as being an idiot. I hope you die alone.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 11:55

>>49
How is that related to what was said in >>48? What is anti-free software?

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 12:09

I don't understand how you people can get XP to "just work"

Jesus.

What is anti-free software?
GNU/Linux

1.pop XP disk(preferably SP2)
2.delete all partitions/format drive with NTFS
3.Install, enter code.
4.Install drivers.(should have a driver disk)
5.Download videolan,firefox,etc.
6.Disable useless services, set control panel settings, apply registry patches.
7.new comp ready to work.

I think you missed my point. I use Lunix myself.
Oh, and I don't care whether it's free or not, really (besides being free as in free beer).

I'm using Windows because the porn games won't run on Linux.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 12:24

>>55
Yes, of course, that's why I dual boot. And it's not about any game(there're consoles for that), only porn games.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-30 12:49

>>56
I like to be able to play my porn games anytime I want. Although I do have Debian installed in another partition, dualbooting is a hassle so I just stick to XP.

The porn games I play many. For example now I'm playing Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounen Shoujo (which works fine under wine) and have another 3 games installed but not finished (Ruitomo, SMG, DCIITY).
