Not precisely; some people are forced to use Windows, and I don't mind; most people are ignorant to how computers really work, and I don't mind either, they don't need more. Programmers, mathematicians, physicists, etc. that use Windows out of their free will are idiots.

1.pop XP disk(preferably SP2)
2.delete all partitions/format drive with NTFS
3.Install, enter code.
4.Install drivers.(should have a driver disk)
5.Download videolan,firefox,etc.
6.Disable useless services, set control panel settings, apply registry patches.
