Which /prog/ language should i learn; C, C# or C++?
In terms of which would be the most useful.

C, then Java, then C++

I think C is the most "pure", simple language
Then Java I don't know why
C++ is the monster

C#. Then C. Never C++. And while I agree with >>2 that C is the most simple choice, it certainly isn't the most useful, seeing how you will need a shit-ton of additional libraries with inadequate/no documentation to do anything above trivial level, not to mention you will have to work around all kinds of low-level limitations such as memory management. This kind of thing puts off most novice programmers (HOW DID I DEREFERENCE NULL POINTER).

C source code is easy to read and you can deduce what it does by looking up previous definitions/functions it build on.

BASIC, then assembly, then C (or C++ without STL).  If you don't understand how the machine thinks, you're not really programming.

C along with some assembly. Understand how the machine works.
