Windows screenshottin'

Ok, so I want to write some code that will capture what I currently see on my screen.  And no I don't care about hardware layers / whatever they're called -- I'm not going to be trying to take screen-shots of video or anything... just my screen of plain old applications that I have open on my desktop.

I have all the Win32 API help files, but they seem not to be very helpful about telling me which functions I need to use for this task.

pls 2 tell me how I capture the screen.  in b4 "Screenshot(LPTRSCREEN Screen, BITMAP Bmp, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL);"

press the "Print Screen" key, and then grab it from the clipboard.

It was somewhat intentional. Bafoon is a well known slang twist on ``baboon''. It seemed more appropriate because I am actually calling the OP retarded as opposed to being amused at his expense.

No, see, I want to do this with code.  You know, that shit you used to write and compile before you decided you would hang out on /prog/ all day.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-02 6:13

You do know that /prog/ is the last place you should be looking for any kind of serious advice?

You fucking retard. Did you even try Google, it took 0.37 seconds- literally.1

Of course he didn't try Google. That would imply intelligence, which, considering he tried here, he clearly doesn't have.

Some people, when confronted with a problem, think "I know, I'll ask /prog/." Now they have two problems.

Sup, Raymond Chen.

And their two problems, then becomes /prog/'s problem, since their asking of help clutters the place with a useless thread, that could have been used instead to make obscure references to SICP and whatnot.
