programming on a netbook

Name: newb 2009-07-01 21:41

I've been teaching myself python on my old macbook pro for a while now, and I'll be heading off to college soon.  Assuming I'll be majoring in computer science, which laptop would fit all of my basic programming needs?  I kind of have a fetish for netbooks, and I've wanted an Eee 1000 for so long now, but I don't know if I could handle the keyboard and screen, and if the netbook could handle some of the more complex coding I may be doing.   What would you guys recommend for lasting me through college?

I do plenty of programming on my 901. It's quite nice.
Then again I can also type approximately 50wpm on a TI-92.
