"Searching for exponents instead of calculating logarithms."
I'm not searching for 'exponents' alone its a term in polynomial like x^y+z^h or x^y *k^v
"Preferring floats to rationals"
Rationals are a small subset of floats. Restricting me to rationals, is like porting into integer-only algos with division.
"arbitrary precision floats do not require arbitrarily large storage"
Intermediate products of computation require this kind of storage. Initial parameters do not.
