Which language do you enjoy the most?

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-19 22:48

For me it's Perl. Perl is like an adventure and there's always something new and exciting to discover. That and it's actually useful and not dog slow.

Probably FIOC, but I do enjoy C to a disturbingly high degree.

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-19 23:34

Definitely FIOC.

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-19 23:35

Lisp, like anyone who isn't a FIOC troll.

I like the forced ching-chong of the 中国語

tossup between javascript and ruby. javascript lets you write really fucked up stuff with all kinds of anonymous functions that's not really bad per se, just kind of fucked up. and ruby lets you do loltastic things with its lack of parens for methods and metanonsense.

C# is my favorite language so far. it used to be Java but that shit got boring. Also I am a beginner programmer. Also I plan to become a game programmer. Are you raging yet?

Java with Eclipse. It feels like playing a video game.

Scheme

All languages approach scheme in expressiveness and functionality, modulo libraries. Since scheme already exists, this relationship is necessarily asymptotic. Why bother, then, when I can just use Scheme?

ARGUMENT INFALLIBLE.

All languages approach scheme in expressiveness and
functionality, modulo libraries.

does that include Scheme?

of course, with tail call optimization

JAVA! My greatest guilty pleasure. I love programming applets.

I know it sounds hopeless, but in reality the decline is so slow that you can always jump to the next language before it reaches that level.

Amen, brother. Too bad that both Java and Eclipse don't give a fuck about the user input, bug report and fixes.

Haskell

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-20 19:23

I enjoy programming in Haskell the most, but I like Forth the best. Possibly because while I could write a decent Forth compiler/interpreter, I would at best be able to write a very shitty Haskell compiler, but I don't know why this matters to me.

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-20 21:26

You can tell a good programmer by the language he prefers to program in. I prefer basic. I don't give a fuck.

I know I'm a bad programmer. Like I said, I don't give a fuck. It's just a hobby for me.

fucking this, its like programming but your actually building something real (sort of, nearly everything is just synthesized as LUT's and DFF's)

Name: FrozenVoid 2009-06-21 10:15

JavaScript obviously:full web integration,Greasemonkey, flexible functions/object/arrays/etc,tracemonkey,
easy&fast to write program prototypes. There is even OS-level programming support(Windows scripting host), but i prefer C for this.

Me liking small boys is now a meme. And I should definitely fuck off to Slashdot, Digg and reddit where I will keep sucking off other people just as boring, bland and stupid as me.
