HP sucks my ass.

Oh t3h noes! My shitpile walmart desktop had teh malware and all the system recovery partition managed to successfully do was wipe my HD before erroring out when it tried to reinstall Vista. The dothead on the tech support line says I have to pay them $30 for recovery discs. And all my lolcats and moovies and furry pr0nz are on my second hard drive which I can't hook up to my laptop.

So, how much am I gonna hate Linux, given that I've been using windows for ten years?

o rly? hmmm, well Windows is still < Mac OS 7. It makes me reboot the system before I do ANYTHING, it won't let me move my cd drive to the trash, and navigating through folders is super slow for some reason. Plus, file types seem to be determined based on the name of the file, which is pissing me off.

I've been using it for 2 days, and haven't found anything yet that might make me prefer it to mac os 7. :/
