Programming and Autism

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-03 21:29

I'm austistic, so what? I might not be able to eat my dinner if the peas touch the fish but I can program way better than any of you guys. It's like sitting in kindergarden every day talking to you lot, You just learn so slowly and you never fully understand anything. It's a fucking disgrace, I'm sick of it.. Intellectually It's been like this my whole life. I'm sure some of you can relate even though you're morons compared to me. Oh and by the way I just write a 15 line lisp program that's got a higher IQ than wolfram alpha.

Autism is a name given to a broad range of disorders at present. With each publication of DSM more and more diagnostic labels are added, to better accommodate those affected by this epidemic.

A person with traditional autism would not be posting on a forum without assistance, so I suggest that the diagnosis should not be misused by forum members, in an effort to speed things along, in getting these new diagnosis names into the mainstream.

In other words, don't say that you're autistic, unless you sit banging your head on the wall 15 hours out of the day.

That being said... I have PDD-NOS
