What is /prog/'s opinion on it?
I can't point my finger on it, but it feels a bit heavy for simple visualisations.

It's used to create games. In /prog/ we only care to solve important problems, not to create actual programs.

a bit heavy overkill reinventing the wheel
You are not a real programmer, you're a princess. [cod]"Oh I have to write every little detail of the program myself or it doesn't feel right. GRUNNER."[/code]

guys why is BBCODE so fucking difficult to program in? Is there an IDE?
The reason it might feel slow is the virtual-method-lookup which is abundant in Ogre.
However it's always been fast enough for me, besides, if you're making a visualisation for something instead of a game it doesn't really matter if it doesn't run 30fps.
