SICP lectures fansub project

Remember the now-defunct SICP Subtitles project (sicptitles.org)? We're REviving it!

Anyone is welcome to join the project and help with transcribing, editing, and typesetting. We currently have lecture 1a transcribed and ready to edit, and someone has so far already completed 15% of lecture 1b.

We'll be reencoding to 640x480, it doesn't look too bad upscaled and you can actually read the text on the slides that way. Does anyone know whether the .mpg or .avi raws is the better quality?

Then we release torrents of them onto the usual anime trackers and watch what happens. We might even get some unsuspecting weaboos interested in SICP!
