Sorry for all the foolish replies you are getting. The best way to start writing computer programmes is to understand their structure and interpretation. So throw a website together in PHP. It doesn't matter how it works as long as it does. Just kidding Read SICP!

You'd be better off start by learning scheme and learning about how software is put together, and how computers understand them.
